Ruth was an honorary aunt who was a huge part of our lives growing up. My sister and brothers and I spent many hours at the house on Brimley visiting with our parents. My mom and Ruth were closer than sisters and spent hours gabbing and laughing. It was extremely fortunate that when they met their soul mates, those men liked each other and became friends. Ruth and mom in Guiding; laughing; in the Chancel Guild; talking; trips to Stratford and the Shaw; reading; Scarcliffe holidays; more laughing; more talking. Ruth had a kind heart and was always ready to help, in any way she could. She was a truly lovely lady and will be dearly missed. We were all blessed to have known her.
